Runaway Global Warming Could Create An "Extinction Domino Effect" Wiping Out All Life On Earth

SUMMARY
Climate change will cause the extinction of most of the life in the planet. The reason is co-extinction. The concept of co-extinction refers to the idea of an organism suffering because of the dissapearence of another it relies on. This lies down to a chain of extinction which would end up affecting all the planet, as some simulations have shown. After simulating 2000 virtual Earth, each with a different enviromental problem, it has been shown that eventhough some more tolerant species would survive the fenomena, the loss of the less tolerant species would bring them down too, annihilating almost all of the life in the planet.
It is known that a 5/6 degree of average global warming change is enough to start this co-extinction. Hopefully the human race could stop this fenomena with renowable energy and avoid the worst case scenario where the Earth and their habitants start the co-extinction.

TEXT COMMENTARY
With this text we can conclude that if we don't do something fast regarding non-renewable energy and climate change, we could start very soon this extinction domino effect, annihilating not just human life, but also most of the planet's life. We should be aware of the damage we are doing to the planet and stop it or, at least, reduce it to a minimum so we can live much longer in a good-condition planet. If we all start using renewable energy and looking out for Earth, we can keep it safe from suffering and from a global extinction.

4th text commentary: THE FIRST DAYS OF WORK OF CIMON THE SPACE ROBOT

The first days of work of CIMON, the space robot.

Summary

The news speaks of a robot designed and printed in 3D that has been sent to space with an astronaut. Cimon, that's the name of the robot, helps, talks and plays music to astronaut Alexander Grest when he asks for it. This project is supported by the ESA that has financed and organized the project.

Text commentary 

I have chosen this news because it surprises me that something that I saw as a very small child is already happening. The robot with artificial intelligence has already arrived in space accompanied by its creator, the man.

Indeed, robots already exist and if science continues to evolve this fast I would not be surprised if, in a few years, the robots become true companions of astronauts who could perform all kinds of scientific and domestic tasks such as repairing ships, collect samples in space and similar tasks. That way astronauts could avoid risks and focus on the direction of space missions.   

Naturally, what the news says about the CIMO space robot can be applied to the use of robots that can be used in all kinds of places and activities. The technological future is already beginning to show up and maybe we are not aware of all that goes with it. On the other hand, there is no doubt that for technology students this is a matter of special interest, as we may be able to participate in the development of this class of machines in the future.  

In my opinion this is a news of special interest to attend to the technological aspect that sometimes are not well known even by the students of technology to which it can be very useful.

Peculiar Cave Art Suggests Stone Age People Deliberately Chopped Off Their Own Fingers

- Summary:

    It talks about an investigation taking place in different caves around France (The Grotte de Gargas and Cosquer Cave) and some other in Spain too. The subject of investigation are the paintings in the caves. The investigators had been studying those painting and concluded that nearly a half of the hand painting do not have the 5 fingers.

 The investigators came across painting of hands of men, women and also children, so marriage tradition couldn't be the reason why as there are some tribes that make women cut off one finger when they marry. They tried to figure out the reason why they didn't have all the fingers. They explain that the frostbite could have been the responsible of the lacking of fingers, but it was not because if it had there would be way more fingerless paintings.

    Some tribes of Africa and Indonesia have had the tradition of ingesting the chopped fingers in order to bring luck to that person, even their own children. All their explanations are mere hypothesis, and they can be proved wrong.

    I chose this new because it seemed me a very interesting and intriguing one, as it talks about the ancient paintings that are in caves surrounding where we live. Regarding the tradition of lacking some fingers in the hand, I could imagine and accept that they were chopped of because the frostbite Although that, traditions like ingesting some human flesh, I would easily believe that they existed and were the reason that the caves have some fingerless hand paintings.

    All their explanations are mere hypothesis, and they can be proved wrong, with just some other investigation with paintings in some other caves. Personally, I wouldn't imagine how they would voluntarily go through that pain of being cut a finger off, they would continually be bleeding and suffering as they would not have the facilities stop that bleeding and they could eventually die.
