The news is about loneliness and all the problems and diseases that people who suffer from it can develop. This is so as humans are social beings that we need to be part of a group in which to develop ties that allow us to progress individually. However, today's society develops aggressive and very demanding behaviors regarding work and personal behaviors that determine that individuals still surrounded by people are, in reality, alone emotionally most of the time.  

Indeed, it may seem, seen from the outside, that currently people live in an open society in which they interact with other people 24 hours a day through new communication technologies. But, when it is observed in more detail, it is perceived that people do not really have the friends they seem to have and who, in reality, live in solitude. Virtual friends may be used to comment, to share images or perhaps to be with them at a certain time. Now, it may be that when a person needs some attention there is no one at his side. In a recent study he concluded that what youth fear most is loneliness. It's weird, since theoretically "you're never alone".

Finally, I want to highlight the reasons that have led me to choose this news. First, because of the importance it can have, especially for young people who, surprisingly, can suffer from loneliness. It is necessary to look for solutions to this problem because, probably, this is a problem for which there is no concern in the educational centers. I think it would be important to take into account the feelings of students on this issue at different ages in order to detect problems of loneliness and depression that can cause serious harm to children. Secondly, we must also attend to the other population group especially affected by this problem, which are the elderly, especially those who live without any company. To this end, activities should be supported, for example, such as promoting activities for this kind of people, such as singing, dancing, playing, either in municipal centers or in nursing homes.

In my opinion, I think it is a much more serious problem than it seems. There should be much more information and prevention on this issue. A long-term goal would be to make anyone in this life feel lonely. It is very difficult, I know, but it is time to start creating organizations that can promote campaigns, activities and studies of all kinds that can solve this serious situation. Finally, to say that it is also time for any "little person" to stop looking at the mobile screen and begin to observe and relate to the people around them. A hello, a few good days or a thank you, would be very good to start. In that moment you will realize that people are not on a screen but by your side.

The news deals with the serious problem that affects the biodiversity of the planet, which is suffering a rapid deterioration due to the actions of human beings. Naturally the main polluting agents are the big industries, but each one of us can also act to avoid the damage to nature. Indeed, we must think that actions that we carry out every day such as driving a vehicle, using non-recyclable plastic containers that end up in the sea or, even, using deodorants with CO2 gases seriously damage the natural ecosystem. Indeed, if we look at the results of these actions, we will observe that each of them cause very damaging effects in nature, such as the marine fauna that ends up swallowing the plastics that end up killing numerous individuals. The same happens with various species of birds such as seagulls, sparrows or pigeons that end up eating human garbage or, finally, even reptiles are poisoned by the poisonous emissions that pollute the air.

It might seem, seen with coldness, that the lives of animals that are victims of pollution, such as a fish, a sparrow or four lizards, do not matter. However, beyond feelings and values, the truth is that the life of the human being depends absolutely on the existence of the set of living beings. Think only of what would happen if a humble insect like the bee disappeared. The consequences would be catastrophic because the natural fecundation of the flowers would not occur. We could find many more examples.

The problem is that of the unconsciousness of the companies and people who carry out these acts harmful to the environment. It is about millions of people acting without taking into account the damage that their attitude produces in nature. However, it is true that a social awareness is taking place in which governments, NGOs, companies and individual citizens participate or acting in an organized manner to carry out actions of different kinds to try to solve these problems. In this sense, the mentioned news item mentions IPBES, an intergovernmental organization that works on measures to protect the natural space and the species that inhabit it to avoid the loss of biodiversity.

Finally, I want to highlight the reasons that have led me to choose this news. First, because of its importance for treating something as important as the environment. Second, for the lack of real knowledge about the causes and damages that human activity is causing in the environment and, finally and thirdly, the catastrophic effects that the lack of attention and solution of this problem can produce in a future.

In my opinion, I believe that the problem of pollution and its effects on the environment should be dealt with more seriously because of the serious dangers and risks involved in not doing anything about it. However, as I said before, I believe that society is beginning to act to solve this problem that I hope will be solved in a few years. I sincerely hope that it is not too late and we are on time. In any case, it seems clear that the human being must begin to think globally and rectify the actions and behaviors that affect the environment, beginning now to adopt the appropriate solutions and measures to solve the problem. The future of our planet depends on it.

I have chosen this news because this disease is suffered by more than 400 million people in the world and unfortunately, until now, no cure has been found. Currently there is an effective treatment but it presents long-term problems in patients who have cardiovascular diseases, neurological and ocular problems.

As the news says in just 3 years you can start experimenting with humans, unfortunately you can only try people who are not treated with a any treatment. Unfortunately, those who are already being treated this news did not like them because the treatment,can not help them, unless that treatment will evolve. 

The experiment has been made with mice, but later it can be made with larger animals similar to humans, in order to see how thouse are affected, especially their internal organs. 

In my opinion this project will continue because there are many interests involved and a lot of people and organizations expecting the outcome of the experiment. In fact there are details and further tests and checks to be made in order to ensure its effectiveness The good thing about this treatment is that it prevents this disease from appearing. On the other hand it is also bad because the person does not have previous symptoms and the disease appears you can not be cured because you have not been aware of the ill. It is about demonstrating that society is willing to act for  the important problems that humanity faces. It only takes someone to raise the torch and show us the process of change. The seriousness of the problem of climate change is evident. We probably do not know how old we are in order to solve the problem. Maybe it's 12 years as the students say. If so, it means that both myself and all my colleagues will be 28 years old when climate change can no longer be solved. It would be a tragedy like that. It seems clear that the solution is not to pretend that none of this is happening, when it comes to something very real, but that we can change between all of them.

In my opinion I think the change starts from oneself doing small things that improve the environment such as recycling, controlling the consumption of plastics, cardboard or paper or avoiding throwing garbage or waste out of the right places. Personal actions may seem like small grains of sand, but together they can create a worldwide change that can change this situation together. For that it is important to believe in it and know that the change begins in you.

I have chosen this news because the use of marijuana in adolescents is very common nowadays. It is an activity that almost nobody is fully aware of the risk of consuming, even if it is a single marijuana cigarette in life. With this dose the effect on the brain is immediate and is reflected in the surface of gray color that increases rapidly affecting its development and can trigger future diseases as serious as schizophrenia.

Text commentary 

I have chosen this news because it surprises me that something that I saw as a very small child is already happening. The robot with artificial intelligence has already arrived in space accompanied by its creator, the man.

Indeed, robots already exist and if science continues to evolve this fast I would not be surprised if, in a few years, the robots become true companions of astronauts who could perform all kinds of scientific and domestic tasks such as repairing ships, collect samples in space and similar tasks. That way astronauts could avoid risks and focus on the direction of space missions.   

Naturally, what the news says about the CIMO space robot can be applied to the use of robots that can be used in all kinds of places and activities. The technological future is already beginning to show up and maybe we are not aware of all that goes with it. On the other hand, there is no doubt that for technology students this is a matter of special interest, as we may be able to participate in the development of this class of machines in the future.  

In my opinion this is a news of special interest to attend to the technological aspect that sometimes are not well known even by the students of technology to which it can be very useful.

I have chosen this news because it is an issue that seems to be hidden from society precisely because the effects of pollution occur in the oceans of distant places. In addition, those affected are the animals that suffer the consequences of the actions of human beings. That is why it is important to bring news like this to light.

Animals are living beings that must be protected by self-interest of human beings. It is clear that if we continue to pollute in the way that is now done marine species will disappear little by little until they are extinct. The news illustrates the damage suffered by splendid animals such as cetaceans that after having hunted and molested for centuries now it is that we harm them by throwing tons of plastic waste into the sea that can cause their death. It seems quite serious that we are capable of harming species of this kind that we all know have a high degree of intelligence and social skills.

The news speaks of Indonesia, but this problem not only affects Indonesia, but the whole world. From that sperm whale in Indonesia, to a turtle in the Maldives, to the species that inhabit our Mediterranean Sea where there is currently 34% less fish than in 1950. This is a result of pollution.

Una pseudociència son totes aquelles afirmacions, creences o pràctiques que com el seu nom indica es presenten com a ciències però no ho son ja que no segueixen el mètode científic.

Què és la quiromància?

La quiromància, mes coneguda com a lectura de les mans, es el procés d’endevinar el futur a través de la lectura de les mans. Aquesta pseudociència es basa en l’estudi de les línies i la forma  de les mans, s’observen i revelen el perfil psicològic i fisiològic de la persona. La quiromància es practica a nivell mundial però varia segons la cultura. Segons la escola de palmistes la interpretació de les línies de les mans varia encara que no es una variació molt significant.

Pensament científic

La comunitat científica diu que existeixen diverses relacions químiques entre gens inconnexos, vinculats a caràcters psicològics i fisiològics de les persones però no hi ha cap estudi que ho defensi.

Història

La quiromància te origen a Índia fa mil anys enrere  però s’estén per tota Euràsia molt ràpidament. En aquella època es van escriure libres com “Las Enseñanzas de Valmiki Maharshi sobre Quiromancia Masculina” on es parlava profundament del tema. Durant l’edat mitjana va se prohibit per la església catòlica.

Al 1839 hi va haver un ressorgiment de aquesta pseudociència i es va crea “La societat de la quiromància a Londres. Molts famosos d’avui en dia l’han provada encara que no  alguns no creien.

Male breast cancer is not something we usually talk about when we talk about breast cancer. This is probably because it affects only one out of every hundred people affected. Clearly it is a very small percentage, but in any case it is clear that it must be investigated in order to find a solution to this problem.
